Dasavathaaram - Trailer & Audio Release

All these days I had been only hearing and reading news about the much awaited movie, Dasavathaaram starring the great ulaga nayagan
"Dr. Padmashri Kamal Hassan". I just now watched the trailer and the Audio release function over the net and felt like sharing my views on it.

sshhh.... I think the storyline of the movie revolves around the Vaishnava character, and the Heroine Aasin also looks like an Iyer aathu ponnu, the other major character may be a scientist or astronaut, looks like the Kamal in Indian (son).

Kamal has always put up his extraordinary performances in all the movies that he has done so far: like the circus artiste(clown), dwarf character in Apoorva Sagodharargal, and my all time favourite comedy movie Michael Madhana KamaRajan which already had 4 roles in it, a psychic kind of a role in Guna, a freedom fighter, old man role in Indian. In all these roles Kamal has proved himself as a marvellous actor.

But I think his last movie Vetaiyaadu Vilayaadu by Gautam Menon(Director) was not as what we all had expected it to be. I am sure Kamal will not disappoint us in this movie, the grand trailer shows us the efforts put in by the whole team working towards it.

I am just waiting for the movie to be released here and I am very very eager to see this movie in the theatre , as this would be my First experience in the theatre here in Raleigh.

I also got to watch the High profile Audio release function too.. yesterday on the Net which was telecasted by Kalaignar TV on Sunday and the function was held on Friday at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai.

What a grand function it was :) only our Super Star was missing. May be Kamal forgot to invite the good old friend of his in the excitement of the cassette release. When everyone including the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Dr.Karunanidhi, Jackie Chan, Ilaya Dhalapathi Vijay,Aasin, Bombay - Amitabh Bacchan, Hema Malini, Mallika Sheravat, Andhra - Jayapradha, Kerala - Mammotty all had come why not RajiniKanth.....(something fishyyy..). Who knows may be Kamal had invited and Rajini was busy in his next movie Kuselan shooting....
The still of Kamal chained with the Vishnu Idol. it's mindblowing!!

The above picture was actually the backdrop of the stage, it was just looking great. The trailer doesn't give any hints about the music, but the music I think is by two music directors - one by Devi Shri Prasad and another Mumbai hit - Himesh Reshmaiyya. Eagerly waiting to hear to the songs too......

Kamal gets all sorts of different and extraordinary ideas whether it be a story or to depict a character. May be thats the reason why Kamal has been successful in all the movies that he takes or acts. Hats off !!!

Can someone tell me when the movie is going to be released.... I cannot keep on waiting anymore....

Me too - waiting for this movie. Hope its not like aalavandhaan or vetaiyaadu vilayaadu. Some scenes in trailer look similar to Billa. Hope the movie is not like that:)

Hi Kavi :)
It was great linking-in to the movie trailers from your blog.Kamal has always been an actor of high caliber and one thing I'd like to point out is that - even in his flop/not-too-good movies.....His acting has never been below standards. The movie would have been not-so-good due to other factors such as the story-line or the in-appropriate scenes etc.I'm guessing that Dasavathaaram some-how draws a parallel between the values of all the 10 avatars and their roles - as we come across in modern day life.In the age where one can trace the entire story-line of the movies just by watching trailers,Kamal has done a very good job of increasing our curiosity but still keep up guessing - without even a clue.Waiting to watch the movie as well :)

Thanks krithika for ur comments. All that you have said is very true.

Kamal is one different actor who is trying his level best to bring Kollywood in par with Hollywood.

I am sure he will be very successful in doing it and the whole Tamil Film Industry will support him. It was very obvious while seeing the Audio release function where everyone present there were so proud of Kamal Hassan.

though kamal did n number of movies showed par excellence i think one of his greatest acting was fully derived in salangai oli than any other.

At his young age if he cud act like a drunkard old man so realistic, i can compare no one else in that role.

Especially when he shows all kinds of dances in a office is the highlight of that movie

he is one of a kind

Thanks Dasda,

Kamal's performance in "Anbe Sivam" was also excellent and too good as an old and handicapped person...

Added to the story it was his marvellous acting that had got success to the movie.

Yes!!!! Anbe sivam was one of his uber in his career. But he was in his 40's i guess and a movie star acting for more than 20 years performing a role is facile achievement.

Salangai oli was in his 20's. his facial expression, gesture in that movie depicts really watching an old man. that is bit hard for a young man to perform

hmm...I think Oru Kaidhiyin Diary also had the character where Kamal had the role of an old age person.

His acting in that role was a bit scary where he kidnaps Revathy...

well said, kaithiyin diary is also a great performance by kamal.

one time pandiarajan said in a tv show abt kamals involvement. He wore a powerful glass in anbe sivam protraying the character, so he wore another normal glass inside the high power glass. only kamal can involve for a character like this.

he is kollywood tom hanks or denzel. Hmm..........
